Phishing is the term that's used to describe messages disguised as legitimate sources or intended to trick users. Any links that are clicked may lead to malicious software being downloaded and installed on your cell phone, table, laptop or PC, designed to gain access to personal information, so money can eventually be stolen.
Most phishing scams are received by email and are carefully crafted to look like they're disguised as reputable companies, or people so they can persuade and urge users to take some form of action. You can see a gallery of phishing email examples on the Internet to help you identify them quickly so you can delete them immediately.
