WORLD-Forums Specifications

WORLD-Forums uses the DAPROSE-Forum application programmed in Classic ASP, (Active Server Pages), targeted to all Microsoft Windows Servers Operating Systems, WORLD-Forums is a user managed and operated BULLETIN BOARD SYSTEM. It runs on any version of the Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS).
You would need a true Windows Server (2003, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2022) with the IIS Server Service and the ASP CGI module enabled, or at least, any Microsoft Windows Operating System - Professional Edition, (it will not run on other versions).
The DAPROSE-Forum application requires several additional server services installed:
- A MSSQL Server, (any version. Do not use the SQLEXPRESS EDITION.)
- An Internal or External Email Server (POP/SMTP/IMAP ready).
- An Index Server,
- An Image Management Server (ex: ImageMagic)
The DAPROSE-Forum application will not run without any of these services installed on the same saver, or on any network accessible server (preferable),.
Any installation of this application on any server available requires a skilled individual in all these technologies.
